HOW DO LESSONS WORK?
Students take 1 lesson a week.
Lessons are offered in 30,45 and 60 minute sessions.

There is never any registration fee associated with starting these lessons.

Who takes lessons?
Everybody! Students range from all ages. ( Yes, yours too! )

I've worked with high school students, adults, children and teens for several years as a teacher. I've worked in after school programs, tutoring and mentoring in various programs, including the Boston Arts High school, YWCA, and YMCA programs all across New England. Is music just for the young? NOOOOOO WAY! And if you've ever wondered about that? Come and try it out in a patient and relaxed atmosphere. Your only too old if you think you are. And if you think you are...come talk to me and I will give you proof and an ear full of what you need to hear! Many people use their guitar time as a special way to relax a bit. They dont expect to be Eddie Van Halen. Sometimes find they enjoy the new challenge for themselves and derive such a great amount of pleasure from learning something new! Other students walk through the door with the goal to play music for a living. Most people fall someplace in between. It has become obvious to me over the years that, Music really is for everybody.

Students take 30,45 and 60 minute lessons. (45-60 recommended for Adults, progressing youth and Teens)

45 minutes are recommended for most students over the age of 12. Full Hour lessons available for the most serious students. 30 minutes - $25 45 minutes - $37.50 60 minutes - $50 * Study with a friend or family member during your lesson and get a 50% discount for that person! (split it any way you like) Weeknight late evenings are filling fast so be sure to include some possible day times if you have it in your schedule. I came to Andrew Boyd with a fundamental knowledge of guitar chords and scales, but seeking to expand my general skill level including soloing techniques. Andrew has shown me a new approach to chord theory and soloing (applying his Berklee background) using scale note numbering and knowledge of intervals.
